On a 42 degree day, it is easy to see how adaptable the Shorthorn breed is. While our cattle are sheltering from the heat here, shorthorns overseas are seeking shelter from snow in the Northern hemisphere in countries like Canada. Our feed is drying off fast but our cows have held their condition well. Next week we will start drafting the bulls out from the cows.
