We are now well into our winter/spring calving with over 200 calves on the ground. The wet conditions have made tagging the calves a challenging business and we have bogged the ute a few times.
And while the grass might look good, the vets tell us that there is quite a nutritional deficiency in the local area. Luckily we have had only one cow go down with milk fever and we managed to treat her and she is now fine.
The heifers have nearly finished calving and we have been very happy with our new homebred heifer bulls, J94 and K31.
