This year we have sold virtually all our steers into the JBS Shorthorn branded beef program, Thousand Guineas. In this program, the Shorthorn steers bring the same amount as the Angus cattle and are, in the main, outpricing the EU cattle. We feel that this market is a significant step forward for the Shorthorn breed, who for too long have played second fiddle to the Angus for no good reason.
