Yearly draft from Toogimbie Shorthorns.
Excellent quality and structure. Quiet, vendor bred pure polled Shorthorn heifers 12 months old. Yard weaned. They present an ideal opportunity to obtain renowned Shorthorn breeding. Top NSW and SA bloodlines including Bayview, Belmore and Sprys. Stud sires include Bayview Becker N1 (top 10% Marbling), Marrington Navigator R8 (top 25% marbling) and grandsons of Muridale Thermal Energy, Eloora Baker G31, Futurity Fully Loaded and Futurity Knight.
Ideal for breeding progeny the EU market where producers are paid a premium. All are bred from ex Stud Shorthorn cows. The herd has been heavily selected for temperament, structure, carcass and fertility for many years, with no new female Stud blood introduced since 2012.
Fully vaccinated 7in1. JBAS 6.
Previously, heifers have been purchased by Futurity Pastoral who have been very happy with them. In 2023, the Tasmanian stud Royston purchased stud heifers and the heifers have settled in well to their new environment.

Our heifers SOLD on Auctions Plus in 2023. This was our annual draft of heifers. Previously the heifers reached averages of over $2000 per head in 2022 and 2021. Futurity Shorthorns purchased the larger heifers and have been very pleased with them.

HEIFERS SOLD AT ECHUCA!
36 high quality shorthorn heifers sold at Echuca several years ago. These commercial heifers were 10 to 12 months old and were treated with Cydectin and given a 5 in 1 booster vax at weaning. They were by some of our top bulls including Futurity Kung Fu Panda, Sprys Dynamic, Sprys Emerald and Toogimbie Cardiff. Like all our cattle, they were quiet and well handled.They presented an excellent opportunity for the discerning commercial buyer. Our own data shows that the Sprys Emerald progeny have tremendous growth to 200 day weight. Our bull, Marrington Attraction, was a trait leader for 200 day growth but our in herd data shows that the Emerald progeny in our herd had better early growth figures.
Recent blood tests conducted by the Deniliquin Veterinary Clinic has shown the selected sample of heifers and cows from our herd to be naive to pestivirus. This suggests that our herd is probably one of the 20% of Australian herds without active pestivirus. It means that you can buy our cattle and be confident that you are not buying a Persistently Infected animal.

Repeat buyer, Ralph Whitburn, was delighted to have the opportunity to purchase some more of the easy doing Toogimbie steers. Ralph will grow these steers out to bullocks on his irrigated pasture. He has previously been very impressed with the temperament and class of the Toogimbie cattle.
