Our ‘Princess’ cows originated from the Bundaleer Stud in South Australia and respresent generations of top class Stud breeding. The first cow, Bundaleer Princess C97, was purchased as a heifer in calf in 2009. Her sire, Bayview Geoff, has been a very influential sire for Bundaleer. This heifer went on to calve unassisted to Bundaleer Cavalier and has produced a top calf every year.
We then had the opportunity to purchase her older sister, Princess B66. This cow has also been a successful breeder for us.
These cows are out of the JG Red Cloud cow, Bundaleer Princess X43. Her mother, by Chatswood Park Winning Drive, was purchased by the Ashbys from Broughton Park. Winning Drive, a very successful sire at Broughton Park, was imported as an embryo from the U.S. and purchased for $30,000 at 12 months of age. The Princess family came to Broughton Park from the dispersal of the famous Kimbolton Stud in the late 1980s.
They are good strong fertile cows, always in top nick even in harsh conditions.
