We were forced to start weaning our calves early this calving season because of the terribly dry conditions. With five mobs to wean, we have been working with the bulls, cows and calves since the end of November to achieve our goal of well weaned and inducted calves. Finally, just this week, we finished our weaning and turned the last calves out. We have selected some beautiful bull calves to go on with. Despite the tough season, the cows worked hard with their calves and our early pregnancy tests have shown great results.
