We returned from the Dubbo Show and Sale to find a new calf. This was unexpected but I remembered that several bulls had taken the opportunity last year to test the electric fence. Another 2 calves have since been born. Their mothers calved in late July and early August last year. The fact that they have calved now indicates that they were cycling with young calves at foot, giving them a calving interval of less than 330 days.
